Your Project over this novel is to create a hyperlinked, multigenre project on your website. You will create a first page with four quotes from the book and four photographs which you have taken to illustrate the quotes.
Each quotation will inspire one of the pieces of writing listed above - Essay of place, Character Sketch, Extended metaphor poem on Rivers, and your quote of the book essay.
Your project will be graded on the six trait rubric.
Reading and discussing the novel should take 7 days. Photographing, writing, conferencing and revising of essays will take place simultaneously with reading plus three more days for revising and getting on web pages. Setting up web pages should take about 5 more days. You may check out a camera from me for overnight or week end use, but you may only keep it for two days as other students need to use it. All photos will have to be taken in time for me to get them to you before the project is due. If you have your own digital camera, you may use it and put your photos on your web pages. In addition to the four photos on the first page, you may include photos within your poems and essays.
