A Flow activity gets its name because students "flow" from one activity station to the other, finishing each activity as he/she goes along. There are three stations in this Flow. The first station is the online discussion activity that you will do together at the computer. The Second is the online discussion questions which you will access and discuss on the discussion board, and the third is the PowerPoint Song Project.
Station 1: Online discussion activity. As you read your partner books, go to the Bulletin Board on the nonfiction page and read directions for posting discussions. Be sure that you post your discussion under the thread for the book you are reading.

Station 3: Go to the CD player or online and listen to music of the Vietnam war era. Choose three songs which you think illustrate the attitude toward the war at the beginning, toward the middle, and toward the end of the American involvement in Vietnam. Create a PowerPoint using lyrics, music if possible, and pictures to present your choices.
