Rules For Computer Usage in Cybercomp 10

 

All students working on computers in this classroom will follow the school’s Internet Policy, which you received at registration. In addition the following rules are in effect:

bullet email will be used only for class work while in class.  You may email work to me or to your writing circle members.  You may email me or class members with a legitimate question.  You may email work in progress home to yourself.
bullet You will be using the internet to do research, work on assignment and projects which require internet access, discussing books on our class bulletin board, participating in chat in our class chat room, check out the interesting links I have put on the announcement pages for you. You may also surf for things that interest you if all of your work is done.  But, if your work is not done, don't waste time playing games or looking for cars.
bullet Please be careful that you do not lose your computer or email privileges in any other class.  You really need to be on the computer and capable of emailing for this class.  I have had students lose privileges because of inappropriate emails.  DON'T DO THIS!  If you lose computer privileges at school, you will have to do all of your work on your own time at home. 
bullet You are scholars.  I trust you to use the computers and your time in this class appropriately.
