Essay of Place

Through my years there are many experiences and places that made me what I am today. I really appreciate the places that I am from and I am not ashamed of it either. From all of the times I was at my farm, my fights, our family trips, and all of the memories that I have with friends and family.

I grew up on a farm in Bryant, South Dakota. I know that from living on a farm it really teaches to a lot about life. All about street smarts and all of the common sense things that you really need to know I life. I know that it has really helped me with working and getting stuff done. I know from all of the farm work and watching my dad and grandpa farm had really helped me today.

When I was about eight my grandpa passed away and that was really hard for my brothers and me. I know that for them as well as me that that really touched us and changed us forever. He really meant to a lot to all of us. My grandpa was a real role model for me and when he died I decided that I was going to change.

During my 9 years at my farm my brothers and I always played in our tree houses, dirt piles, hunting black birds, and fighting. These are all memories that I have of my brothers. I know that the fighting and competing with my brother has really helped me do better in sports especially wrestling. Since I wrestled my older brothers my whole childhood it really made it easy for me to wrestle the kids my age. My brothers and I still compete and we get really competitive. I know that these things really made me the way I am today.

I know that my farm had really taught me about hard work and it really has shaped me for my life, as I get older. I will always remember my farm and all of my experiences that I had there. I will hold them in a special place and when I’m in a situation some of these experiences will really help me out. I would say that a farm is a great lifestyle to grow up in and I would have my kids grow up there if I can. All of these things I have talked about made me and I am really proud of them.
