Paul and Norman’s relationship is really similar to my oldest brother and me. Norman is a real big influence on Paul. Paul really looks up to him. There relationship is very special and important to them. I would say that Norman is a pretty good role model for Paul and he should really look up to him.
I really look up to my oldest brother. Gene and I have really been the closest out of everyone in our family. I’m not saying that Tyler is that bad, but Gene and I have been really tight. Since I was real little Gene and I always did stuff together and I really look up to him. We would go fishing, hunting, and make forts.
One reason I really look up to Gene is because he really matured fast and he had real good morals. He was always a hard worker and he was older than me and older people are great role models. We never really fought either. Sometimes when I would be in bad mood and looking for a fight he never really went with it. He usually just walked away.
Now that Gene went to college it is hard to do stuff with him, but he still calls back home and we still go hunting with him up at my farm. We have a real great time. We sit under our geese flip ups and wait for the geese to come in. We really have a blast, since we have so much in common it is really great. We hunt, fish, wrestle, play football, like baseball, we both play linebacker and I have his number this year for football. Which is pretty cool since it is the same jersey that he wore when they won state last year.
One thing why we are like Paul and Norman is that Gene and I both fish which makes us similar to them too. We have been fishing since we were real little. Our dad taught when we little and we have loved it ever since. Some people don’t understand fishing. It is actually very complicated since you have to pick you bait, the color, the shape, the movement, the speed and the spots where you think that the fish will be. That is one of the reasons that make it so fun. It is a challenge and I love that about it. Every time you catch one you feel as if you have really accomplished something too.
These are some of the things that make Gene and me similar. We really have a good time and Paul and Norman are similar. These two characters in the book are really like Gene and I. I really liked this book because it was real life.
