The turtle was walking around on a cliff one day, and he needed to find a way to get down because he didn’t feel like walking down the other side because it was to long. He saw an eagle in the clouds and yelled him over. The eagle was in search of food. The turtle told the eagle that if he was to carry him down the hill, then the turtle would get him food. So the eagle carried the turtle down the hill. The eagle waited for his food. The turtle said that he would have it for him tomorrow at the top of the cliff at the same time.
So the next day the eagle flies down to get his food. The turtle is there, but there is no food. The turtle tells the eagle that he didn’t get the food, and if he was to take him to the bottom of the cliff today again, then he would have double the food tomorrow. So the eagle, being as nice as he is, takes the turtle to the bottom of the cliff.
The turtle told him to be at the top of the cliff at the same time tomorrow and his food would be there. As the eagle flew away, the turtle laughed and sighed and said, "I wonder if that dumb eagle will ever figure out that I’m not going to bring him food."
Next day comes along, and the eagle flies to the cliff. He sees the turtle and once again no food. So he thinks of a plan. He flies down to the turtle and asks about the food. The turtle again says if he takes him to the bottom of the cliff he will have even more the next day. But the eagle isn’t stupid. So he pretends to play along. He picks up the turtle and starts flying down the cliff. But instead of putting him down, he keeps flying. He came to the top of a cliff three times higher than the one from before. He places the turtle on the cliff and tells the turtle considering he missed three days of food and lied about it he can walk down this cliff to even things out. As the eagle flew he yelled, "Don’t ever think you can mess with someone bigger than you."
