"Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him Forever."

"But even if they still feel like fighting...you are one big punch ahead when the fight starts"

The things that I have in common with the book is that, my dad and I use to fish together when I was young also. Its the same because they always fished with their father too. Another thing I have in common with the book is that Norman got married and some day I plan on getting married some day too. Just like in the book and my family will all get along but yet have their problems.

why does the book not get to a point?

"I'd rather remember the molecules."

"Besides he's behind in the big stud poker game at Hot Springs. It's not healthy to be behind in the big game at Hot Springs.

The connections with my life in the book is that one day when I was in hot springs CO...I had to swim across the rapid river and I almost got swept away but grabbed it with one finger. Just like how Paul had to do.  Another thing that this part of the book and i have in common is that i have a little brother that doesn't like it when i tell him to do stuff different like shooting baskets and so our relationship is just like the one in the book.

I don't have a question?

This chapter of reading was a connection to my life because

"Ill smoke a cigarette while you catch six more"

"It is summer and the grasshoppers are out in the sun and the fish will be, too.!"

This relates to me...

"why don't you and Paul get out of here."

"you are to young to help anybody and i am to old"

The book and i are alike here because...

"There's nothing that big that swims in the Blackfoot."

"Ill wade across and fish the other side."

10/14/03 p. 90-105

"I admitted across the water, and water keeps repeating your admissions."

"It is those we live with and love and should know who elude us."

A river brings people together.
