Character Sketch

            Everyone seems to have someone whom they look up too for guidance and answers to hard questions in everyday life, especially teenagers my age.  We all know that life is full of little surprises along our incredible journey through it.  Sometimes the surprises aren’t good but turn out to be okay in the end.  I really feel that I wouldn’t be able to handle some of the stress that goes on without my mom.  She means so much to me that I don’t know what I would do without her.

            Every time a problem seems to arise she can sense it with her magical mommy powers, or at least that’s what it seems like.  She always knows when I have had a terrible day or even when something good has happened.  Sometimes its not always easy to tell my mom certain things that go on but I always think of her as my best friend.  It seems to help me feel more comfortable because I know she will never tell a soul and will only ever discuss it with me.  I not only tell my mom everything but I also look up to her in many ways.

Throughout her lifetime she has achieved a great deal of things.  It always seems that she has something knew that she is involved in or helping with.  She has always been a very organized person and never leaves out any small details.  She helps with many organizations in the community and helps keep them in working order.  A lot of her attributes rub off on me and have helped shape me into the person I am today.

My mom is also a very caring person.  She always saves time for her family because to her that’s the most important thing.  Always planning mother-daughter activities for my sister and I or finding time to talk sports with my little brother.  My dad and dog are very important to her also even when life seems to get a little hectic she seems to come across ways to keep us all happy.

My mom and I often share our wonderful experiences shopping.  That’s something we both enjoy a little too much sometimes.  We plan trips to the mall and are even nice enough to include my little sister.  I realized that there’s more to shopping the purchasing new clothes, we talk about lots of things as well.  She often teaches me life lessons without lecturing them too me or gives examples of when she was my age.  I have learned that when she was 16 that things were a lot different but also the same.  We talk about how girls seem to always find reasons to find about something or how boys are always being weird about something.  Its nice to hear her talk about her experiences as well and to know that we don’t always have to talk about my traumas all the time.
