Blues

My color of the day would have to be blue. I choose this color because I’m not in the mood that I am usually in, which is usually hyper and bright like the color yellow. I choose blue because today isn’t that nice of a day, like it usually is. Today I feel sad for some reason; I’m just not myself. I choose the color blue, precisely because I am blue.

Last year, when we all first figured out we were going to be cyber-sophs, I thought it was going to be the greatest thing ever. But then I realized its not as fun and great as i thought it would be. Sure, its great getting your own computer for the entire sophomore year, but that doesn't even compare to how hard you have to work to keep your computer. There are a few drawbacks to having these computers for many many many reasons. First of all, its technology, so that means it could break down or crash down once and awhile, and our computers have every once in awhile. If they crash down, its hard to get assignments that you need to turn in that day, or if you have things to study for, and your material is saved on your computer. That's probably the worst thing that can happen to you, because sometimes the teachers you don't like, don't believe you, and they think your just making up an excuse to not hand in your homework because its not done or something other than the sort. Another drawback is that they are a pain in the butt to carry and take care of. You have to bring them with you everywhere you go in a big, ugly backpack. You always have to make sure your not damaging your computer with your other books or your writing materials. You always have to make sure your screen is clean, and make sure nothing is damaging it what so ever. Another drawback to these computers is that if you lose something, it causes conflict with your group, and/or your teacher. Those are the three things I really dislike about being in these cyber-soph classes. Other than that, I believe that these classes really are interesting and fun, and I think that every student should get a lap top, because it really has been a decent experience so far. That's what I think about being a cybersoph student.

Ever since we have started the cyber classes, I have became more confident in my typing and listening skills. I have become more quicker and better in comprehension. I have learned to be more responsable in my actions. That's how I have become more confident in my skillschanged in my cyber-soph unit.  Hopefully my new abilities will last throughout my high school career, rather than just my sophomore year.

Being in this english class is completely different from my freshman english classes. Last year in grammar, we did stuff over verbs, nouns, indirect and direct objects. But in composition, we do stuff totally different. We work on the computers every day, doing websites and other cool stuff, but we don't do any oral work. We really haven't worked with pencil and paper. It has always been computers and being in cyber-soph groups from day one. Not that that's a bad thing, but it would be nice to do oral work by using pencil and paper for once. That's how I think composition is different from a regular english class.

Being in the cybersoph classes changed me. It made me more confident in all my computer abilities. It forced me to always be on task, and get most of my homework in on time. It helped me learn that if you don't do one thing, it can bring you down on other things you want to accomplish. I learned a lot more information about things I had no idea they existed. The cybersoph classes changed me in a good way.
