Period 4th

One day Monica, Jessica, and Rachel decided to go to a matinee at the local drive inn. After the movie, The Blob, Monica decided to have the girls stay at her house. After asking Monica’s parents if it was okay, they all sneaked to Monica’s room upstairs with a massive bottle of Captain Morgan, which is a type of hard alcohol. Not any of the girls has ever drunk any alcoholic beverages before, so they thought they could share this one moment of glory together. So Monica decides to get 2 shot glasses, so she could have a bottle to herself. Then they began rapidly consuming the alcoholic beverages that were at their disposal.

Monica got the munchies, so she decided to quickly go downstairs into the kitchen to get some goodies to share with the rest. Her parents trying to have a brief conversation with her, but all she would do is dance and sing, mostly because she consumed to much alcohol already.

"Monica, we are going to go across the bridge to visit grandma for awhile, we will be back in a bit, " said her father as him and his wife were leaving through the front door.

"Alright! BE SAFE, AND DON’T GET IN TOO MUCH TROUBLE!" replied Monica, blissfully running up stairs with a giant box of crackers and a massive bag of cheetos.

As Monica reached the entrance to her room, she realized that Jessica and Rachel were already deeply intoxicated with alcohol. Monica also realized that there was another vehicle parked in the garage. So she tells Jessica and Rachel to go downstairs and get in the car to go for a little drive over the bridge. As they all tremble heavily down the flight of stairs, Monica accidentally trips and runs into the wall with a number of shelves, which so happens to fall immediately on her head. She got back up again with no hesitation, and walked into the garage, saying, "I’m okay to drive."

The three drunken females reverse out of the driveway, and made a temptation to drive on the heavily traveled road. As they make their way to the bridge, they start laughing historically at Jessica sticking her head at the window, trying to swallow the wind. She was only doing this for one reason, because she was drunk. Without knowing what they were doing, they realized that there was an oncoming vehicle in their sight. The oncoming cars headlights blinded Monica, so she swerved into the opposite lane, and hit the car. Everything went black and silent. She woke up an hour later, with the sounds of ambulances and police sirens. Monica completely forgot that she was driving with her friends, so she didn’t know if they were injured or not. They immediately rushed her to the hospital, and fell into a coma. She woke up about 2 hours later, cold and alone, with bright hospital lights above her head.

"Where am I at?" Monica said coldly.

The nurse came in and gave her a hot washcloth to put on her forehead. "Hunny, you are in the St. Michaels Hospital."

"What happened?" Monica said questioning the nurse.

"You were in a horrible car accident with your friends. Your friends who were the passenger were killed because you were an intoxicated driver. Your friends Jessica and Rachel died because they flew through the windshield, and because you young kids were not wearing your seatbelts, let alone you were all drinking and driving." Said the nurse with a sad look in her eyes.

"Where are my parents at?"

"Monica darling, your parents are dead also. The people you got in the car accident with were your parents. You killed them Monica, because you were drinking and driving under the influence of alcohol! You killed your parents and your best friends, because of alcohol." Replied the nurse.

The nurse ran out of the room because she thought that she needed to leave Monica alone for a while. Monica broke down in tears, and was left alone, crying and crying. She was helpless because she killed all the loves of her life.

Now, two years have passed, and she is recently living with her grandparents. She still visits the graves, even though she wasn’t physically and mentally able to go to their funerals. The trail of guilt will always be with Monica, even though this all happened under the intoxication of alcohol. Until this day, Monica has never drunk anything alcoholic, and she will never again, drink and drive, because she doesn’t want to make the same mistake she made two years ago, she took alcohol for granted.
