Color Journal
Today I feel like the color black and red. I am black because I feel kind of bad since it is the anniversary of 9-11. I remember all the things that happened that day and it makes me a little sad. I am also feeling like the color red because part of me is happy. I am happy because it is almost Friday and the school week is almost over. I’m also happy because I’m in study hall with my good friends Kyle and Kyler. They make me happy by telling me jokes and having good conversations. Those are the colors I feel like today. Those are the colors I feel like today.
Wow Journal
The museum was really cool. It was interesting that it has been there for so long. There were a lot of pictures of Sacajawea, rightfully so because she was a very important part of the Expedition. The thing that made me say wow was that the building was basically the original one, but with a few touch ups to keep it standing. Also, all of the pictures gave me a good look at what things were like back in that time. It was a very interesting trip and it made me say wow.
Reflective Journal on Multi-genre Web 12/4/03
The multi-genre web our group made was pretty good. It didn't take us too long to make because we worked together. We each made our own little "projects" on the story with a certain type of genre. The hardest part was putting it all together in the website. There was a lot of hyper linking but we figured it out. It was fun to do, and it was kind of challenging at times, but overall it was good.

This week I looked up a folktale on the country of Malawi. I read that, then I was supposed to write another folktale of my own with the characters in the original folktale. I decided to continue the story. I wrote about how a hyena was trying to get back at a tortoise who tricked him into getting a sticky coat of gum. He ended up painting the tortoise's shell but everyone liked it so the hyena was still the laughing stock of the jungle. It was fairly easy to write and didn't take up too much time. The hardest part of the whole thing was finding the original folktale. It took me a while, but I found it and I was able to write what I thought was a pretty good story.

This week I have been working on my African Safari Webquest. In Composition, I have been making a mask. We used balloons and we paper machay newspaper onto it, then we let it dry and we are going to paint them later on colors that represent a mask from out region. We also have been writing about authors from our region and writing about how art affects the culture of our region. It isn't too hard, but a little challenging finding an author and what they write about.

This semester was very interesting. Having a computer and this whole Cybersoph class was really fun and it taught me a lot about making a website. The writing was a lot easier to do on the computer than to try and write everything out on paper. I like the fact that we've done more projects than tests in this class. I think, at least in this class, it's easier to do projects so we can show what we've learned through doing something more fun than just sitting there and taking a test. In doing projects, the class becomes that much more fun. Even though sometimes things got really crazy in class and everyone was really confused and frustrated, it was all worth it.
