"Remember it is an art that is performed on a four-count rhythm between ten and two o'clock" This is how their father teaches them to cast.
"A small bet on the side just to make things interesting" This shows how Paul likes to bet and the ways he lives his life.
The personal connections between my life and the events in this book are that Paul is like my sister Jenny because they both never like to work, they both like to party, and they both like to gamble. I'm like Norman because we both work, we are very hard workers, and we both aren't the best at fishing.
When did Norman get married and why does he get a long with his mother-in-law so good???

"I thought all of these thoughts and some besides that proved of no value, and then I cast and caught him" (This quote shows what Norman thinks about and what he does before he catches a big fish.)
The personal connections between my life and the events in the pages I read are that Paul is more like my cousin in these pages because he likes to bet and he often gets in fights and is thrown in jail.

The personal connections between my life and the events in the pages I read is that my family once in a while has a picnic with all the family and we just talk and relax. Also I am like Paul in this part because I would have gone off on my own to relax and fish.
What was Norman all thinking when he was fishing alone???
October 10th
"I would like to go fishing with you and Paul." (This quote was said by Neal to Norman when he was in the truck and Norman asked him if he wanted to go fishing with them)
"Buster" (Old Rawhide called Neal this because she could never remember his name. She called every guy she knew Buster because she was with so many of them she could never remember all there names.)
The personal connections between my life and the events in the pages I read for today were that I know what it feels like to be Norman wondering what he should do to help his younger brother and if he should talk to him about it at all.
Where did Neal and Old Rawhide get the truck to find Norman and Paul???

"I carried a boxful of flies, the generals and also what fisherman call the specials" (This quote describes all of Norman's flies that he carries around with him when he goes fly fishing. He carries more flies than normal fisherman because he isn't as good.)
"It's two alright, but it's not bears." (This quote was said by Paul when he and Norman were looking at two figures out on the river, on a sand bar. The two figures ended up being Neal and this girlfriend.)
The personal connections between my life and the events in the pages I read for today is that I am like Norman and Paul because they didn't turn down Neal when he asked if he could go fishing with them. I would also not of turned down him either.
Who drank all of Normans and Paul's beer in the water???

"Mother will be glad to see us, too." (This quote was said by Paul. It says that they are going to go back to their home town to see their parents and go fishing with their father.)
"Here is your favorite chokecherry jelly." (This quote was said by Norman's mother to Paul handing him the jelly but she forgot that chokecherry jelly was Norman's favorite jelly.)
The personal connections between my life and the events in the pages I read for today is that I would also go back to see my parents when I got older. I would just want to catch up with them and see how they have been doing.)
What happened to Norman's first fly when he castes into the water???

"They are beautiful." (This is said by Norman's father all the time. He is the only man they know who says beautiful.)
"I am haunted by waters." (Norman says this at the end of the novel because I think it describes how the rest of his life will be without his brother and not being able to talk to his father as well as he used to.)
The personal connections between my life and the events in the pages I read for today is that I know how Norman his father felt when they found out that Paul was dead because I have had a close family member to me die and I know how it feels.
When was Paul killed and why was he killed???
