The color that I am today is gray because it is cloudy outside and storming. Plus I’m very soar from football and really tired because I stayed up late doing homework.

In Biology we went to a museum filled with Lewis and Clark artwork. There were a lot of wonderful paintings and carvings in the museum about Lewis and Clark. The thing that wowed me the most was called "Forgotten Thunder." It was two buffaloes carved into a piece of wood. The two buffaloes where faced to each other and it looked like they were going ram into each other. This artwork really wowed me because the carving was so detailed and I didn’t know you could do that in wood.

The way I feel about being in a cyber comp. class is that I am very happy that I got the chance to take it. Having a computer with me where ever I go and being able to use it when ever I want has been very helpful to me so far this year. The computer has made writing essays and short stories very easy because you can always go back and change your mind, without having to rewrite everything, like on paper. It also has helped me with my spelling and it lets me get done with my homework a lot faster. So as you can see being in a cyber comp. class has helped me greatly.
Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003 Multi-genre Reflection
My group and I read the book "Here There be Tygers" and made a multi-genre web with pieces that we wrote on it. What I liked the most about this project was writing my pieces over the book, I found that very fun. The thing I found the most difficult was having to make the entire multi-genre web on my computer and having to collect all the pieces from group. The thing that worked well was when I had all my group members send me their pieces with them all labeled, with what they exactly were. Next time I would have someone else put together the entire web and not me.

I have learned a lot in cyber comp. The biggest thing that I have learned to do is make a website on my own. I never knew how do that that before but I have always wanted to find out how. Mrs. Schulz has helped me out a lot on my website showing me how do anything I didn't know. Another thing I have learned to do in this class is write a well written essay. I think that I can write essays a lot better now and not have to worry about so many mistakes. I have also learned that if the computers don't work its a real problem and you cant get anything done.

My favorite thing about my web page is my multi-genre web because it took me so long and so much work to do. The first thing I had to do was get my group to do all there genres and then email them to me. I then had to get them all in order and name them all, so that I knew which one belonged to each group member. Finally I put all the genres into my web page and hyperlink them all to each other. Hyper linking took me over three days to do. So its my favorite part of my website because I did so much work and time into it.

It is the end of my first semester, of being a cyber sophomore. It has definitely had its ups and downs this whole semester but it ended up being pretty fun. We went on some fun field trips, like going to the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center and the Lewis and Clark Art Center. It was really fun getting out of school and learning about Lewis and Clark. We also did a huge project called the African Safari. We divided Africa into five regions and researched a lot of things on our region we were assigned. I learned a lot about what was going on in my region and found out some great vacationing areas too.
There has definitely been some downs though in cyber soph. One of the worst things that happened is that we could never use our laptops in Biology because we didn't have a hub that would reach our laptops, so we could never get on the internet. They were also really slow when ever we did connect to the internet. Also it is a hassle when you save something and it doesn't synchronize, so you can only get it to work at school and it doesn't work where you need it the most, at home. One other thing that happened to me that was frustrating was when I turned on my computer once and everything I had done this whole year was gone. But I got that fixed and everything was ok.
So all and all I would say that this semester was alright, it could have been getter though. One of the best things is that I get to be with my friends everyday and that we have pretty good teachers. I am looking forward to the next semester, being a cyber soph. and can't wait to go on another field trip.

I defiantly feel more confident about my skills on computers and in writing. Having a computer with me where ever I go, has really helped me improve my skills because I can't depend on having someone there all the time to fix it for me. So I have figured out a lot of ways to fix my computer on my own. My writing has also improved having a computer with me all the time. The spelling and grammar check has helped me out the most. But I have also learned to read over my piece a couple of times to fix all the problems on my own.
