Epilogue

When we both first found out about this project, we were a little skeptical and didn’t think that it was going to be a lot of fun. We were amazed to find out that it wasn’t that bad and kind of enjoyable.

Learning about the Dust Bowl was very interesting. We learned when and where it actually took place and how it all got started. Learning this information changed our view on the Dust Bowl entirely. At first we didn’t really know what the Dust Bowl was about and didn’t think much about it. Now, we are astonished on how the farmers made it through this hard time and how the United States made it through this very difficult time in history also.

We also learned that working in a group isn’t that easy. We could never find a time that worked for the both of us, to get together and work on the project. It took us about a week to finally get together and begin on this huge project. It was also hard to do everything together because we are so used to doing everything alone and not worrying about anyone else. The project took us a while to get everything done but when we finally did, it was a great feeling.

After reading this project, we hope you understand all the hard times Americans went through. We also hope you get a better understanding of what all happened during the Dust Bowl and never forget this special time in history. We learned a lot doing this project and we hope our readers do the same.

We would like to send a special thanks to Mrs. Crawford, for giving her personal experience of the Dust Bowl and having the time to share it with us. Thank you Mrs. Crawford.  We will never forget it.
