There have been many places that are important to me in my lifetime so far. They have influenced the way I am and the way I live. But the place that has influenced my life the greatest is my backyard. There are many different parts of my backyard, like the trampoline, basketball court, tree fort, sand box, and my garage that have all helped my out growing up.

I have had many events happen on my trampoline that have helped me grow up. I first got my tramp when I was in kindergarten, in Sioux Falls. One of the events I remember the best was when Tate Pesicka, Tyler Andera, Adam Peterson, and I were playing dodge ball on the tramp. Tyler and I were off the tramp throwing the ball at Tate and Adam, on the tramp. We just couldn’t hit them, and finally I just got so mad that I threw the ball as hard as I could at Tate. The ball bounced off of Tate and went right through my parent’s window. My heart stopped and I could barely breath. I was so scared that I was going to get in big trouble, so when my parents found out I told them that Tate did it. Eventually they found out that I was the one who threw the ball, and I did get in some trouble. My parents told me that I would have been in less trouble if I just would of told them right away that I did it and not Tate. So I learned that it is better to just tell the truth right away and get it out, then lying and getting in more trouble when my parents find out by themselves.

My tree fort and sand box have also given me some guidance through life. The one incident I remember the most was when Tyler and I were climbing up the tree fort and he started pulling on my leg. I was at the very top of the ladder and I slipped off it. I fell about 15 feet straight back into my sand box. Tyler just looked down at me and laughed. After I got my breath back I started laughing with him and saw that my neighbor was outside and saw the whole thing. He was also laughing at me, and he came over to see if I was ok. I learned that when climbing up high things don’t trust your friend pulling on your foot.

The garage in my backyard has guided me through life also. My garage is very big, and if you tried you could get three cars to fit in it. During football season, on Monday nights my friends and I will put a TV and some chairs in the garage and watch the football game. Throughout the game we will order some pizza and go get pop. We just hang out and talk with each other while watching the game. This has helped me grow up because I have learned a lot about my friends and who actually are my friends.

As you can see there have been many places that are important to me in my lifetime so far. Some of them were very important and others weren’t, but they have all influenced the way I am and the way I live. I hope that through the rest of my life I have many more events that influence my life.
