Prologue
Picture yourself in a battlefield with bullets whizzing over your head and seeing your enemies killing your friends and family in the war. Imagine the emotional feelings and the effect that would have on you. Have you actually thought about how the soldiers really lived and what life was like for them? Fauna and I, Katie, interviewed Fauna’s grandpa, Detroy, in Fauna’s house. We decided to talk to him about when he was in the Korean War and how life was like back then. He came to our town and let Fauna and I interview him. The Korean War began June 25, 1950. The Korean War is important because there were a lot of Americans that fought and risked their lives. In this project, you will learn a lot about the different conditions, clothing, transportation, climate, and many other interesting facts about the Korean War.
