"What I Believe About Life"

I believe life is something that should be treasured more than anything else. Sure life has its ups and downs along the road, but everyone has to go through the hard times sooner or later. And as much as hard times will always come, you know that things will always eventually get better.

In life I think there are many important parts. In order to make life enjoyable and fulfilling, you need to have the attitude to do so first of all. Along with your attitude come your friends and family. I believe that without friends or family, no one could survive. No matter what you ever think about a family member or a friend, you will soon come to realize that you need them in your life just as much as anyone else. I also think that in order to get the most out of life, you need to reach out and experience new things. If everyone were to just stay inside his or her own comfort zones, nothing would ever change. And change is always good. From smiling at someone new in the hall, to helping a poor, sick child, making an effort to make someone else’s life better is always important.

Life is full of arguments and fights. It seems like you can’t even go a day now without having some little fight come up. This isn’t the best way I like to spend my life personally, so that is why I think forgiveness is so important. If no one ever forgave, who knows what the world would be like? When people dwell on things that happened a long time ago, or aren’t even a big deal, it just makes me want to tell them to forget it. Life is too short to go through being mad at everyone. To me it seems like a waste of time. I would much rather be having a good time with that person than trying to think of how I can avoid them. I know not all things you can forget, but at least try to forgive.

The other most important thing I think about life is to live it for you, not for anyone else. There are always going to be people telling you what to do, who to hang out with, what to eat, and so on. I think listening to these is good, because it may end up being what you want, but if you aren’t satisfied with something, don’t go along with it just go fit in, or to make someone happy. If you aren’t enjoying life the way you want to, then what is the point. You are your own person, and no one else can decide for you who you are.

Choosing to live isn’t the question to me, but choosing how to live your life rather. Everyday is something new that builds up to what we know as life. This is why I take it one day at a time, not rushing things but enjoying everything that is important. Already as much as I have grown up, which isn’t very much in the long run, but I have noticed it goes by so fast. You can’t waste any of it because life is just too short. You never know when your time is coming so live everyday as if it is your last.
