There has been a lot of important people in my life. Only a few stand out as the elite important people in my life. One of these people is my dad. He is a stud. I take after him in so many ways.
I look just like him when he used to be a kid, it's almost freaky. When other people call my house looking for my dad, and I answer the phone, they think they are talking to my dad, then they say gees, you have the same voice as your father. I like many of the same things he does, such as his habits of eating and watching TV, not to mention....be lazy! He has the funniest laugh that anyone has ever heard, all my friends try to do impressions of it! It goes something like.. akchlaka...well obviously you do not get the full picture of that description, but take my word for it, it is a very original and outrageously funny laugh.
He is also my baseball mentor. I have also inherited his skills for the game of baseball. He was very good at it, and everything has been passed on to me, and I already can outplay him so I have learned many valuable tricks from my years of playing the game. My dad used to absolutely love the game, but now he has gotten to fat and weak to play anymore.
His mom and him are very close and always talk to each other. Therefore I am very close to my grandma, which a good thing, she is a very cool person. He is very close with his whole class for that matter, which would allow me to be close to my uncles and whatnot. He is the oldest child in the family, so a lot of his brothers and sisters look up to him for guidance.
My dad likes kids, so when all my friends come over he likes to hang out with us and shoot the bull. He loves to play games and is always ready to be competitive. Ever since he has been a kid he has been in sports and different activities. His competitive edge has been passed on to me as well as the other things that I have already mentioned.
This man practically knows everybody in town, and everywhere he goes he knows people. He was well liked as a kid, and everybody knew him and appreciated what he did for them. He was always helping people and often liked to let people ride the horses that he used to have at his farm. I always hear stories from people I have never seen before about my dad. They tell me he was a pretty cool guy.
He is a little confused at times, and is a very funny little man who makes me laugh often. He loves to grill with me and spend long hours playing catch. The best thing that he gives me is advice about different things. He is a perfect example of a mentor in my life and I will do my best to do what he says no matter how stupid the idea.
