BLUE
I’m
blue, I’m blue, now I am going to tell you what makes me so blue. I am very
calm and tired, like the blue, calm sea. I feel as if I am up in the clouds,
like the blue sky that I love so much. I am day dreaming a lot, like the blue in
my head. Very calm, oh so tired. My brain seems to not think on a day like
today, the bluest of days that we have seen in this long gloomy week. I have a
long trip a head of me and I am all set for my journey, the calmest journey in a
long time. It hurts to think, my mind is in a trans. Today, I am most like the
color blue, calm and true.
The thing that made me go wow was a painting by Elizabeth Clay. It showed a lot of green and how beautiful the country was back in the day. It made me think how much better our world could be right now if we wouldn’t have polluted our resources and kept our Earth a clean and wonderful place. The whole experience was great because I saw so many paintings, and things that caught my eye and made me go WOW!

This cyber sophomore class that I am taking is very different from the English classes that I have taken in the past. I am constantly on a computer, actually this is the most computer work I've done in my life. The cyber class that I am with is a very interesting group. We do our work together, and see each other everyday. In the past I have never done as much group discussions or activities as I have done this year with the cyber classes. I like doing things with the people around me, so it helps a lot, and it is a big benefit to me. We do a lot of internet work as well, which makes finding the answers fun and easy. The internet can allow so much opportunities for us.
For my project I did a journal entry to my friend Roy, a missing poster, and a recipe for tiger soup. I enjoyed working with my group, and the story we read was a very funny short story. I also enjoyed doing my genres for this project. What I found most difficult is breaking the story in parts, and trying to interoperate the story in terms that was easy to understand. Our grouped worked very well together and we helped each other to get our stuff done, and we also gave each other ideas for our writing. Next time I might try to get some different group members to get a diverse group to work with. Get new and better ideas, and just keep trying to improve in this class.

I feel confident in my writing and computer skills, I mean I have been working with computers everyday now in my classes. I have noticed that all my typing skills have improved and my thoughts about the internet have changed as well. I can now understand all the information out there. It is kind of fun and challenging trying to find the information that I need for my projects. The internet is a big part of my everyday life, and by using it I am understanding all of the elements that go with it. It's amazing what you can learn with what you use everyday, and I am very happy to be a part of the Cyber class. My all around skills have become better with the computer and I can even teach my parents a little somethin' somethin' about the computer.
The project we are doing now consists of a African Safari. We use the computer to find all the information we need. We are also making a power point with the information we find. We work in these groups to help each other locate this information and proof read all of our work. This stuff works really well and we have just the right teachers to make this go smoothly. This African Safari we are working on right now is really going to be something when we are all finished.

It's weird to think that before this year I didn't really know or understand the computer. My dad and I would sit in front of it doing the things that we always did, because that's what we knew how to do. Know we find ourselves doing new things that we didn't used to understand. I show him new stuff all the time, and this time I actually understand what I am talking about. Now, in a way I have become the teacher, which is kind of a new role for me. It fells really good to help my father because then we don't just sit there and argue over something neither of us know what were talking about. We get things done this way, and we have fun doing it at the same time. I can only hope that my experience with the computer will continue to grow and I will learn more new and exciting things to teach to the people around me.

Being with this Cyber Sophomore class these past quarters has been great. We have done so much stuff, and for the most part have had fun doing it. The teachers we have are great, and they make this new experience fun and exciting. We have been doing a great deal of learning about different regions in the world in Geography. In Soph. Comp we have been doing a great deal of writing, mask making, and web site constructing. In Biology we have been doing many labs, and different things to help understand the biological points in the areas of research. The only problems that we have had are computers not working some days, being off key with each other about assignments due, and not knowing what to do. We have done our best to work these problems out and the work has paid off greatly. We got a lot of work done, and just had a great first semester with the cyber team.
