The Color of My Day  9-11-03

My day today was many colors. At some points of today it was yellow and bright. Other parts it was purple where I didn’t want to move and every thing was so slow and energy less. In band this morning my day was pink and I didn't want to think. My days are often different colors with different parts of the day.

While doing the multi-genre web I had fun making a dialogue and collage. The collage was fun I got to go on the internet and find many grandparent and granddaughter pictures. The dialogue was cool because you got to think how you wanted the story to be. Our group also worked hard the first page article that is my favorite part of the project.

Being a ‘Cybersoph’ is a very different there are many different opportunities for us. I like not having as many book and worksheets. I also like not having to hand write stories ,typing is much easier. Also the Biology CD is a great learning tool it has practice tests. Geography is neat in the fact that we find many of our information off the Internet and do some projects off the Internet also. I like having a laptop it is also nice to be able to access all our school projects on a computer at home.

I fell more confident in my writing and computer skills this year. I have grown as a typist and author. I have learned unique ways to peer edit with the laptop. The revising tool bar is a great way to find your mistakes. Writing on the computer has made me become a much better typist. At home I now have more responsibilities with our home computer. This year I wrote the Christmas letter and also helped my grandfather with his papers he needed typed. This is how I have developed my writing and computer skills this year.

If an outsider visited my sight I would hope that he/ she would think that laptops help students learn more. I hope they would see how hard we are working and all the intergraded projects we do. I hope that they would see that typing and writing are the same. I would hope that the elderly would see the computers and all the people using them and not be as scared of them. That is what I would want the people would think when they saw my website.

Cyber Journal 1-9-04

This year in the cyber classes we have evolved and grown as students. One of the most significant things that we have done this year is building WebPages. We each have our own unique website that contains all of our work for the year. It contains all the interdisciplinary units we have done. These projects every student worked hard on in every class. We have had to write many essays, and do many projects with art. One of my favorite projects we did was the mask making. We papier- mached balloons and painted them to make African masks. That was very fun to get messy and just relax and make art. Many of these projects have taken a lot of time and effort. I know that I have spent many hours on the computer writing essays and journals. This makes us more self-learners and better students. I have enjoyed this past semester and would share with many people.

What's your favorite thing about your web page and why?

My favorite thing about my web page is the variety of works on it. there are papers and poems to assignments, and PowerPoint’s. These things all reflect the work we have put in. I also like the different themes and ways we design the different pages in the site. We have multi-genre webs, different background for the safari web quest to make the site have more personality. We can really make it express what we like by word art and clip art. I really like our Where I’m From poems also; I think they share our personalities the best. That is my favorite part of the web sites.
