Rainbow Trout

1st Journal entry 1-15pgs  10-7-03                                                                                                                                      

Quotes:

I relate to that by my father is always telling me that i have to work hard at all the things i do and not just float by.

"Undoubtedly, our differences would not have seemed so great if we had not been such a close family."

I relate to this by my family is really really close but yet we have very different personalities

2nd Journal Entry 15-30pgs 10-8-03                                                                                                                                       

Quotes: 

"I studied the situation. although maybe I had just added three feet to my roll cast, I still had to do a lot of thinking before casting to compensate for some of my other shortcomings."

I think that this relates to more than just fly fishing i think that  it has to do with life in general.

"Sunrise is the time  to feel that you will be able to find out how to help somebody close to you who you think needs help even if he doesn't think so. At sunrise everything is luminous but not clear."

I feel that early in the morning you can relate to people really well. I have had some of the best conversations with my mother early in the morning. The early morning is usually when i have the quality time with my mom.

3rd Journal Entry 30-45pgs 10-9-03                                                                                                                                   

Quotes:

"He was one of those who need to be caught telling a lie while he is telling it."

I am one of those that cant lie and always get  caught telling them.

" He liked beaver dams and he knew how to fish them."

I am like that in that I like to do things that I am comfortable with and don't have to learn brand new tricks.

4th Journal Entry 45-60pgs 10-10-03                                                                                                                             

Quotes:

" I felt  an especially long time about why, when I tried to help somebody, i ended up offering him money or taking him fishing."

I can relate to this by always wanting to help people and never knowing what to do. I always end up doing something superficial. 

" when Paul and I crossed the Continental Divide and left the world behind, so  I thought."

I can relate to this by having something to leave the world behind in. I leave the world  in my Harry Potter books when I read those the whole world leaves me alone and it  is just me and my imagination.

5th  Journal Entry 60-75     10-12-03                                                                                                                                   

Quotes:

"As the heat mirages on the river in front of me danced an through each other, I could feel patterns from my life joining with them."

I like this because I feel like he is a normal person that has problems also and that he can only help the things he can reach.

" I wasn't going to tell her, and  I  wasn't going to lie for no reason other than I new I couldn't get away with it."

I can relate to that because I think that lying is a difficult thing to do and you lose your  trust with people.

6th Journal Entry 75-90  10-13-87                                                                                                                                         

Quotes:

"When ever we have a family reunion my mother and Paul are the central attraction."

I can relate to this in the fact that my mom and  trey are the central attraction in out family gatherings.

" Help is giving part of yourself to somebody who comes to accept it willingly and needed badly." 

i just think that this is a really neat quote that could help a lot of people out.

7th Journal Entry ppg. 90-105    10-14-03                                                                                                                          

" however one close up picture will remain in my mind forever."

I have a lot of moments in my life that I can picture perfectly in my mind.

" Eventually all things merge in to one, and a river runs through it."

every thing does come to an end and we are all connected in this small world.
