Growing up means getting older and along with that becoming more responsible and mature. You now have all the knowledge you’ve gained in the previous years to help you make better decisions.

Everyone makes mistakes. The mistake you might make when you are five will help you not make the same one when you’re six. That is why the older you get the wiser you are. If you turned three and you didn’t have the ages two and one still in you then you would still act like a newborn.

Sometimes you act like the ages you previously have been. Even when you are thirty you still cry like when you were age three. The age ten will continue to show up in you ever time you are scared and need someone to hold you. When it is your birthday and you turn a year older you still only feel like the age you just were. It takes awhile to feel like your new age. Not until nearly your next birthday do you actually act like your new age.

The story "Eleven", takes place on Rachael’s eleventh birthday. She realizes even though she is now eleven she still is one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and ten. When she is given the red sweater she cries like age three. That day at school was a perfect example of not quite feeling the age you have just turned.

Next time you need to talk to someone because you have had a bad dream just remember that the age five is coming out of you. Without having the past years in you, you wouldn’t have been able to learn from your past mistakes and experiences.
