Students will keep a journal over each day's reading.
Students will identify themes in each of the chapters of The Way to Rainy Mountain, filling in the chart.
Task:
Students will select one of the themes identified.
They will find a folk tale, legend, or myth with the same theme and write a summary of it.
They will interview an elder who can tell a true story related in some way to that theme.
They will write a personal response based upon the same theme.
Students will combine these three writings and publish them on a Web page. They will add an appropriate title and graphic.
