Imagine if you had no choice, no say, no thoughts. That’s what it felt like for many young American men that were drafted into the Korean War. Many times they had little training and were immediately put into fighting action with bullets and bombs fling right over their heads.

          After learning what it was like for many men, I now have more respect for Korean War veterans for what they had to go through. I hope after reading our Living Histories project that you have learned as much as we have about the Korean War. The Korean war brought many changes to the Untied States. Changes that have helped shape the nation’s history.
