Dear Ms. Harradan,

After I had read The Bird On Its Journey, I was ready to read more short stories by you. It was very interesting and full of surprises. I liked how it followed well.

I thought this story was interesting because of how it was all about the lady that didn’t want anyone to know her name. I also liked how in the beginning they kind of worked together to make things right. I thought that was a good way to keep things going in the story. I thought it was very interesting, and easy to read. It was worth reading because it was interesting and it also taught me maybe how to help others when needed, or shows that you care.

When reading this, I was confused at a few parts. I was confused when it was talking with the different languages and how the one guy in the story had to “die”. I didn’t understand some of the parts when I was reading this short story. It still turned out to be a good one though at the end.

But after reading this, like I said before, it turned out that I enjoyed reading it. It was a good story about life too at some parts. If you read closely, then you can get some good points on life. It is very good and worth reading. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jessie J.

Conversation with a character

Me: So are you trying to tell me that the rain is just kind of a spell type thing, and that when it rains, something bad is going to happen?

Chekhov: Yes, it was explaining the theories with the rain, and the curses that are behind the weather with it raining.

Me: I see. I found that pretty interesting.

Chekhov: So do you believe in the bad curses that are behind raining?

Me: Yea, only because at times when it had been raining, I have gotten bad luck.  Like one day when it was raining, my friends' car had run out of gas, and then we had to stand outside in the rain until someone pulled over...and it turned out to be a cop. So he went and got us some gas and then brought it back to us.

Chekhov: Yep, bad luck comes when it rains.

Me: I have noticed.

Chekhov: But there are times when good luck comes too!
