There
are a lot of events and memories that I have had
with incidents with my mom telling me not to do something, and then I go and do
it anyway. And more than likely, a lot of the times I got caught for it. These
memories remind
me of a fairy tale I read.
There has been many times when I have been having friends stay the night
or something. My mom would always tell us-no going outside after curfew. We
would never listen to her. We would all sneak out of the house, to go outside,
and just mess around. We always told ourselves that we would not get into
trouble.
There were a few times, though, where we did end up getting caught.
We are lucky though, because one of the nights that we decided to leave
the house, we just went for a stroll around the block. After we had been out
there for a while, and we were about ready to go inside, a cop drove up right
beside us and asked where we were heading to and we told him that we were having
problems with a friend, and so we were talking. We told him that all we walked
to was around the circle of the block. He
said for us to not be out too much longer
and get going back inside. We
did after a while longer.
That
is just an example of some memories of doing something when I was told not to.
That just goes along with the fairy tale I just got done reading, The
Little Red Cap. In
it, the mother was telling her daughter to go straight to her grandmother’s
house and to not stop and talk with anybody or stop to do anything else. She
obviously didn’t listen there, and that
is just an example of what I have done.
I think that these fairy tales have a lot to do with life. They also
teach you many lessons, like ]the
one I was just talking about, how not listening and doing something you were
told not to do, can back fire on you. I’ve learned that, just like the people
in the fairy tale have.
