There are many obstacles that Homer had to go
through, and some, which he overcame.
There are many things that stood in Homer’s way to be able to reach his goals
also. Everything went from getting in trouble, and to not doing his rockets the
right way. And then they didn’t make enough money for the things that they
needed for everything.
When he first wanted to build his rockets, he needed to get help from a
nerd kid from school. They soon became good friends, and then they went on. They
got everything that they needed to have to be able to achieve their dreams. They
built a rocket, and then took it to the fair. Homer’s teacher Ms. Riley was
the one who got them to be able to take the rockets there. At first, they
weren’t very good at getting the rockets to launch, but after a few times of
trying to get it to work the right way, they got it to go. The bad thing is that
they were arrested for it, because they started a fire. That kind of brought
down their faith in doing everything with their rocket experiences.
Sooner or later, his dad got into an accident, and then Homer quits
school. He works in a coal mine. He eventually quits the coalmine after figuring
out he didn’t start the fire. He decides to go back to school again, and then
enters the science fair. He wins, and ends up being sent to Indianapolis for
their science fair. During his time there, someone there had stole an
autographed picture from Homer.
He finally gets everything all going the right way, and he ends up winning first place at the science fair. He goes to college, and makes up with his dad. His parents finally become proud of him and are glad of what he has done. Homer becomes NASA scientist. He also trains to be a NASA astronaut. His life turns out to be the way he once wished, and thought that would never be. All of Homer’s friends grow up and go off to do their own things. They all had their own jobs, and were living to be their own selves and make something out of themselves.
