It was a cold winter night. That morning my boyfriend came over to watch movies. We were all alone. My parents were eating at my grandma’s. The fire was going well as we kept putting wood in it. The gusting wind started to pick up. The snow started falling gracefully to the frozen ground. We didn’t think that it would snow too much.

    We stayed at my house and watched more movies, not knowing that in a couple of hours the snow would double. The snow was so high by the time he was supposed to leave that we couldn’t even open the door. The phone rang; it was my parents saying that they were stuck in town. Leaving me and my boyfriend at my house by ourselves. In an instant it was dark everything was off, we lost all power to the house. I found a candle and lit it; it was our only source of light. Because of the snow, we spent the whole night together, sitting by warm fire.
