Your school day ends at 3:25, but your homework goes on. It isn’t that one teacher assigns too much homework; it is that students have five through seven teachers that assign them homework. It is hard to get all their homework done when students have activities and jobs they have to go to. It is not that teachers shouldn’t assign homework, just have certain days that a subject gets to assign homework.

   When seven teachers assign homework, it is hard to do it all and to also do activities and a job. Teachers expect students to be able to do it all when really they don’t see that kids that try to do it all stay up really late or get too stressed out. Staying up late is bad for a teenager. Teen’s years are when a person needs the most sleep. Also being really stressed out is very bad for anyone’s health. It can lead to kids feeling like they can’t do anything and to an early breakdown.

    If working a job wasn’t hard enough, coming home to more work is even harder. Students are usually exhausted and worn out, so coming home and doing more work makes them even more tired. By the end of their work they were so tired that they didn’t do their best work. Also they are usually so tired that they don’t even do their work and just go straight to bed.

    If one teacher was assigned a day that they could have homework, it would be much easier for students to handle. Then teachers wouldn’t have to yell at students for not doing their homework. Also it would help out student’s heath because they would be able to get the sleep they needed, and they would also be less stressed. All in all it would be better for everyone.
