Caulfield Returns Home

Armed with his red hunting hat and the clothes on his back, Holden Caulfield returned back to his home in New York City after being kicked out of Pencey Prep School for academics deficiencies. Before he arrived home, however, Caulfield visited a few old friends. Among the friends he visited was Sally Hayes, with whom he took to a play. They visited after the play and Caulfield ended up making Hayes angry, who violently stormed out on him. Another old friend that Caulfield met up with was Carl Luce. Luce gave Caulfield an update on his sex life before quickly bailing out on Caulfield.

The main person that Caulfield wanted to see when he returned home was his little sister, Phoebe Caulfield. Caulfield arrived at the door to their house a few days before his parents expected him. Luckily, they were out of the house and Holden was able to sneak in undetected.
