Mix Holden Caulfield and all of the conflicts first.  Man vs. Self is for Holden’s struggle to identify himself and his character.  He doesn’t really know who he is.  Man vs. Society is for Holden’s conflict with Pencey and getting the boot.  Man vs. Man is evident with Holden’s clashing with Ackley and Stradlater.  Then add Mr. Spencer and Jane Gallagher.  Mix well.  Sprinkle Pencey Prep over the top.  Serves as many as the printing press can spit out.
