Once upon a time there was a poor family. They didn’t have very much money to buy food, so they lived in the wild land. The wild land was a place for all kinds of animals like deer, coons, beaver, rabbits and all other kinds of animals. Dan was a little boy who loved to go and hike camp and explore the great out doors, so on one sunny day Dan decided to go fishing at the big lake near by their house.

He headed down to the big fishing hole by the tree line. It looked like a good spot to go fishing. Dan baited his hook and cast in to the murky water and waited for a bite. Dan fished all day and into the evening and just got a few nibbles until he was ready to leave, and then wham something took the bait and ran towards a fallen tree near the tree line.

Dan knew it would be big, so he climbed on top of the cotton wood tree and tried to look down, but he couldn’t see through the dirty water,, so he called his dad screaming and yelling, "dad dad come quick i've got a big one." his farther heard his child's screams and came running down the creek. When he got down there, he saw Dan fighting and struggling.

So he asked Dan, "what do you have, a snag? 

"Dan said "no, I got a fish ,a big fish," so his dad went into the water and untangled the line and grabbed the fish and picked it up. It was all he could do to carry it up the bank. They went to the house and showed it to the rest of the family who were amazed of the size. They were sharpening the knives to skin the fish when they heard pleas, "don’t eat me; I’ll grant you three wishes."

 Dan said "prove it." 

"ask me for soothing you want" 

Dan thought for a moment, "ok, I wish I could fly"

 "your wish is my command" said the fish, and all of a sudden Dan took off flying through the air, and then Dan's dad said, "I wish I could be rich for ever."

Then his greasy clothes turned into a suit  and the fish said, "you got one more wish left, what is it?

"that we will live happy ever after" and they did.
