What it is to be Me

Archie Costello is pictured to be pure evil. He is the Satan of Trinity Catholic high. No other demon has plagued students more than the assignments he’s thought up. Though he may have adversaries that combat his evil, they are shadowed by their violence. No one can erase the mental scarring brought on by Archie Costello.

Although Archie understands everyone at trinity, probably better than they understand themselves, no one understands Archie. For this reason I am allowing Archie himself to finish his character sketch, because I would offend him with my presumption if I were to assume certain things of his character.

Thank you Megan, and Kellie for this opportunity to clear my rotten name. Yes I am Archie Costello, the one and only villain of the story The chocolate war by Robert Cormier. Yes I may be evil, and yes I may enjoy shoving grannies down escalators to watch their sagging panty hose get caught in the gears, and yes of course I enjoy watching others suffer, why else would you enjoy reading about me? I am so good that I shall quote from myself.

"You see Carter, people are two things: greedy and cruel, so we have the perfect set up here,"

People, by nature are both cruel and evil to the very core of their being. Even you the humble reader of my gallant adventure throughout the chocolate war, have relished to see the lemmings squirm beneath my great power. Why else would you even continue to read? The fact that you came to my website at all speaks worlds of your own need for the evil that you deprive yourself of unnecessarily.

It is evil, like me, that you try to ban from your life, but also evil, like me, that you cannot help but adore. I do the unthinkable, I put my lemmings in severe mental anguish just to see them fumble and squirm. They are ants toiling away for my because as always I hold the magnifying glass that could shed light on their deepest darkest secrets, humiliating them, incinerating their souls with embarrassment and self loathing. I live for that kind of power. I fear without that hold over people I could not exist at Trinity. In closing I would like to reiterate that yes, I am evil, yes I am the putrid elements that contaminates the minds of those who attend Trinity, and yes I AM ARCHIE.
