In the beginning of the novel Lord of the Flies several British students from a school in a war savaged town in Great Britain are on a flight away from the violence and destruction when there plane is suddenly shot down into the ocean. Several students survive the crash and manage to swim to a desolate island to find out that they are the only inhabitants. The oldest survivor, Ralph, finds out that he is now the leader of the colony of 6-12 year olds. The beginning of this book sets up the rest of the action by telling how the children on the island set up their own rules and society. by doing this an argument over which was more important Hunting for food, or having fire for the rescue. The island is now separating its leader ship with those who believe hunting is more important led by Jake, and the ones who believe in being rescued led by Ralph.
when a young boy by the name of Simon the was killed by his former friends who had gone insane. the hunters then continue the madness by then attacking Piggy and killing him. the hunters then go one and chase the last member of the fire keepers, Ralph runs into the forest where the mad hunter go and burn him out. So then Ralph runs and runs away from danger where he is on the beach no where else to go. then he see the British navy who rescues him and all of his friends. pretty much that is the end of the book.
