What have you learned?

    I have learned a lot in this class so far. I learned what this class is about and what we will do each day. Also I learned what peer reviews were and when we use them and why we use them. We also worked on peer reviews for the movie and the essay that other people wrote. Another thing I learned is how to make a web page. We also started our web page and got the theme for and a picture for the page. We learned were home pages were and what we have to do each day before class starts. Also that we have to go to certain spots on the web page each day.

How do you feel about being in a Cyber comp class?

    What I feel about being in a cyber comp class is extremely great. I have always wanted to work with computers. Also I would rather work on making a web page and do things on line than do terms and read every day. Also this can help make get better with the internet. Another think is that when we are done with our web pages I can go to other peoples pages and see what the wrote on the topic or even how their page is looking. Also our teacher can go to our web page and just correct the papers on our page instead of us have to give them to her.

How is this class different from other English classes you've had?

     This class so far has been fun. We just started are partner books and I have a good book. I like this class because it is different from the other English class I have taken.  This class is mainly online and none of the other English classes I have taken are online. I like cyber classes because you can work at your own pace and if you fall behind you can go to any computer that had the internet and work. You also don't have to do as much sitting and listening to the teacher talk through the whole class. Also I like working with the internet because you can find a lot of different thing there.

February 27th

What will you do with what you have learned?

   I planed to do a lot with the things that I have learned. I like to make web pages and I have already started making some web pages. I have made one for the Roger Haas and one of my own. Also I like to read many things that have happened to their lives or the stories the have. Another thing I would use this for is it helps me look for things on the internet, which I am not very good at. Also it helps with all the typing it makes you a faster tipper and many places want to know ho fast you can type and how good you are with it.

 

 

 

March 18th for the week of March 14th

The past few weeks have been long and busy. I have also been gone for state basketball. I have not been able to write in my journal. I have completed my partner book. We are starting our character web page. I also started and finished my cause and effect essay. There he been a lot of things that I have gotten caught up with because I was gone. My short story was started the last part of two weeks ago. Then it was finished at the beginning of last week. It was also put on my web page at the beginning of the week. Niki and I have decided what we are going to do for our character web page. We just got started with it. That is all that I did this week and last week. Until next time.

 

 

April 25, 2003

 

    It has been a long time since we have written in the journal. We have been working had and long. In these past few weeks we have written many things. Fist we wrote a persuasive essay on posters that were about the war. I liked doing that because I had the chance to look at posters from a long time ago. Next, we wrote our own persuasive essays on anything we wanted. That tool me a long time to do. It was worth it though. I had a lot of fun taking about what I thought on things. Now we are working on our research papers. I am using the web quest. Ii is really fun. It gives you a topic, and you do the research on it. Then we will write a paper on it. It is getting down to the end of school, and I hope it goes by fast. I also hope I had a lot of fun the last few weeks of school.

End of the year reflection                                         

          This year has been extremely fun. I have had a great time getting to know you. Also I have learned a lot through out the year. When I first came here I thought that I would just sit and read books and write papers all day. You should us how to write a paper that looks good. Yet, had everything sound and correct. I learned how to use the computer for many different thing besides just writing. You show us how to discuss online.

          I also have found that there are many things that I will use in life that I learned here. First, the important is how to make your writing better. Also I have found that you have to be able to do things on your own. I liked the way that you told us to look at the web sit to see what you are going to do that day. Then you were free to go, and work on that project. If you got done you could work ahead. I like to do things on my own. I like this because everyone learns at a different pace. If I get ahead of someone I can go on. If I fall behind I can work in study hall because it is all online.

          When you first told us that we were going to make a web page I was ready. I had already taken a class were we had to make one. I knew what the main idea was in making one. I knew that the more that you used the better it looked sometimes. There were a few things that I learned when we started making the web page. You had a different way of getting into our web page then in the other class I took. I also, learned that you could make the page open a new window instead of using the back button all the time.

          I will always remember all the good time we had here. When Ben started to call you “Pschulze”. Also, when one day Niki and Ben were talking about getting arrested. How Ben said that he wouldn’t get arrested his whole high school years. Then that weekend he got arrested. You telling us everyday when we lined up by the door, that only two things do that the freshmen and the cows waiting to be milked. I hope that you had a great year with me. I will be seeing you next year.
