Cause and Effect

We were sitting in our classroom on a lovely Friday afternoon. Some friends and I were sitting in class. We had nothing to talk about, so we started a conversation about when I got arrested. Ryan and I got into a discussion about how he thought that he would never get arrested and that he would make it though his whole high school without getting into any trouble.

It turns out that on the next Monday I hear that he got arrested for an MIC. There are many causes and effects of an MIC. He was sitting at a friend’s house, he decided to go outside and there was a cop ahead on the road. He didn’t think anything of it, but then the cop was coming toward the house. He decided to run into the house and not away from the cops; therefore, he got an MIC.

The effects of an MIC are that you have to go to court of course. When you get there the judge will give you a probation time, usually for an MIC it would be like three months to six months. Also you will get some community service time. Since it was Ryan’s first time getting arrested, he will probably only get a 90-day diversion, which isn’t too bad. He will also probably have to take some alcohol classes

Just think, what if Ryan just didn’t drink? He wouldn’t have to deal with getting arrested. Next time you decided to drink, just think of what happened to Ryan, and you may think again because of what the effects will be if you get arrested.
