Oreo

My dog is a Chihuahua schipperke mix, and her name is Oreo. She is about five years old, and black with a white stripe down her chest and stomach. I got her when my dog Peanut, that I had since I was three was stolen while I was in 5th grade. My family and I searched for but could not find her, so one day while my dad searched the pound for Peanut, he found Oreo, just a baby at the time and all alone. When I got home, I was still sad about Peanut, but my dad showed me Oreo. She was so small and cute that I picked her up with one hand and said, "I’ll name you Oreo."""

Now Oreo is five and not as small as before but still small, and very loud. Everyone says she’s really cute and nice. I think she’s vicious. Not really, but I think she thinks she is, because she likes to bark at big dogs even thought they could probably swallow her whole. She likes to sleep at the foot of my bed, and she wakes up when I do, then goes and sleeps in my brother’s room.

Oreo is also the only dog we have right now, because we have two cats. Oreo likes to fight with the cats; their names are Chin and Scooter. Scooter is very big but the youngest one of them all. She and Oreo like to fight, but Scooter wins most of the time because she weighs almost twice as much as Oreo, and probably three times as much as Chin. It is amusing to watch them fight.

I will keep Oreo till either I die or she dies, mostly because she’s really cool and fun to play with because she knows how to play soccer and fetch. Also when it’s dark, and I have to take the recycling out to the back of the yard, I take her with me for company. She’s my guard dog.
