Once upon a time there was a lovely princess named Camilia, who was trapped in a castle in the middle of nowhere. The castle was surrounded by tons of bubbling lava and large heavy breathing dragons. The young princess was not alone; she had her trusty unicorn with her.

The princess and her unicorn were trapped in the castle with no way out. The only way they could get out would be late at night, with the power of a prince.

The princess spent her nights pondering on a way to escape this horrible place and get back to the outside world. She felt so lonely and thought she would be stuck there the rest of her life.

"There is no way out," said the Princess.

"We will get out of here; we need to have faith in each other," replied the unicorn.

The princess thought that no one would ever be able to rescue her; she was sure no one knew where she was. She felt doomed. As time passed, days turned into weeks and weeks turned to months.

But one night while the Princess and her unicorn were asleep, the princess heard someone talking. She woke up to a vision. She was startled.

"Who are you?" she said trembling.

"Fear not young princess, I am your Fairy Godmother, I am here to guide you on your escape from this prison."

"How can this be, where did you come from," the princess asked.

"No time to talk, just listen to my every detail," demanded the Fairy Godmother.

"You are limited in your time to escape this place," she added.

"First you must find the locket that hides the key. It will unlock the door of your dungeon. No need to look far, it’s been within your reach all along," hinted the Fairy.

"My unicorn’s collar, could it be?" said the princess in amazement. Just as she was thinking about it, the Fairy Godmother disappeared.

"Now what do I do?" she asked the unicorn.

"Lets try the key in the door," said the unicorn.

They couldn’t believe their eyes, the key fit, and they could hear the tumbler fall as the door opened.

"What do we next?" questioned the princess.

"I’m scared", replied the unicorn, "I don’t want to go any farther.

"Lets stay here and wait for more instruction from the Fairy," said the princess. Many days and nights passed, but still no Fairy. Just as they were about to give up, once again they were startled in their sleep by a vision. To their relief it was once again the Fairy Godmother.

"Fairy Godmother, Fairy Godmother, what do we do next?" asked the princess.

"Calm down my child, listen to me," said the Fairy Godmother.

"The next clue may be a little harder, you will need to follow the long winding staircase to the bell tower, and the same key will let you in," the Fairy Godmother said as she disappeared. They both trembled as they ascended the many stairs of the windy staircase. They reached the top, and the princess used the key to open the door. The door slammed loudly behind them, and locked up.

"Oh no! What do we do now?" We are stuck," the princess said in fear.

"I told you we should have never left the room; why did we listen to her?" the unicorn said angrily.

"We are doomed," she said. They both sat there and huddled close together in terror. Their nights were now spent in a room with no way out. The only hope was the ray of light that shone from a window high above their reach. They both sat there thinking of a way to escape through the window.

"I know!" said that Unicorn. "You can climb on my back and try to look out the window."

So the princess climbed upon the unicorn, as he propped her up.

"Oh, wow, look," The Princess said in shock. "Everything is so beautiful"

"Is there anyway out?" asked the unicorn.

"Wait, I see someone, it’s a Prince!" the princess said happily.

"I’m here to come save you," the Prince yelled.

The Prince got out his rope and tried to throw it up to the window, but it was to short.

"Oh no, now how will we get out?" the princess asked?

"Get onto my back and we will jump out the window," the Unicorn stated.

"No way, you don’t know how to fly," the princess said.

"Well, I guess I will have to learn real fast!" the unicorn replied.

She got all settled on the unicorn, and he jumped out through the window.

"Look out below!" warned the Princess.

All of a sudden a loud roar and a blast of fire flew through the air. The unicorn got scared and lost control, and didn’t know what to do.

"Oh my gosh!" the princes yelled in fear. "The dragons are coming."

The dragons started to go after the princess and the unicorn. They weren’t going to let them get away. As all this was happening, the unicorn didn’t know what to do and got very scared.

"What do I do; they are going to catch us?" the unicorn said in fear.

"Just calm down" the princess replied.

"Try and land by the prince," said the princess.

The unicorn got closer and closer to the ground, but a little to close to the prince. As the unicorn landed, he knocked the prince over with one of his wings.

"Oh no, are you ok?" ask the princess, as she quickly climbed off her unicorn.

    "I’m fine," the prince replied.

"No time to talk; we need to get out of here before the dragons catch us, or someone hears us," said the unicorn.

In a hurry the prince and princess climbed upon the unicorn and off they went. They went back to the prince’s land, where they would be safe.

"Thank you so much!" the princess said in relief, "You saved our lives."

As days passed the princess and her unicorn grew closer to the prince, and spent their days getting to know each other. Many months went by, and the prince and princess fell in love with each other, got married and lived happily ever after.
