opened in 1853.
It was the biggest school in Little Rock Arkansas. It was a white only school.
It could hold up to 2000 students. It was one of the leading schools in the
country at the time. Central was the best school in the nation at preparing all
there students for college. Only 19 schools got chosen, and Central was the best
of those 19.
