Cooper’s Bad Day

“Wake up Cooper I need you to go to town to get me some milk.” She
said as Cooper’s mother pulled his comforter. “We’re out of milk and I am
trying to make a cake for the banquet tonight. The money is on your dresser. Get
dressed and hurry down there and back.”
“Why can’t you do it yourself, I am busy.”
“Because I have to much to do and don’t have enough time. It won’t
take that long now get up and go.”
Slowly, Cooper got dressed, grabbed the money, and took his bike. He made
his way down the gravel trail. As he rode his bike he was in a daze from just
waking up and didn’t see the fallen tree branch in the middle of the path. His
bike wheel got caught in the branch and he flipped over the wheel and landed on
his back. After sitting there for a few seconds he laughed at it and got up. His
bike tired was bent so he continued on foot. He decided he’d get his bike
later. While looking at his bleeding arm he tripped on his un-tied shoelace and
fell all the way down the biggest hill and landed in the mud. “Ok,” he said.
“I am starting to get really mad. Today is obviously a bad day for me.”
He reached the store, grabbed the last gallon of milk and headed for
home. On the way home he counted all of the things that happened to him. First
he was stung by a bee, than he tripped over a crack in the sidewalk, and finally
he ran into the girl he liked. Cooper was so excited when he finally made it
home. He gave the milk to his mother and ran to his room, but shortly after he
reached his room his mother called him downstairs.
“Cooper this milk has gone past its expiration date. You need to go
back and get me a different one.” She said. Cooper took one look at her and
headed back to his room.
